Community Affairs

State's Attorney Aisha N. Braveboy recognizes that in order to combat crime effectively, it is imperative to involve the entire community. To this end, the Community Affairs Unit was established to enable the State's Attorney to work collaboratively with the community to enhance safety and security in our neighborhoods.

Get To Know TEAM -PGSAO

The unit, through collaboration with civic and neighborhood organizations, publicized events featuring the State's Attorney and staff, community gatherings, and various specialized outreach programs, is committed to informing the public about crime and the criminal justice system, clarifying the State's Attorney's Office's purpose and function, and promoting community engagement. A significant focus of the unit's efforts centers on engaging the most vulnerable, our elderly and our youth.

The unit also spearheads the organization of community forums and other platforms to discuss alternative approaches to criminal justice and increase participation in diversion, reentry, and crime prevention initiatives.
