Prince George’s County Police Officer Brian Newcomer Held Without Bond After Initial Appearance

UPPER MARLBORO, MD – A Prince George’s County police officer, Corporal Brian Newcomer, was held without bond at the State’s request after his initial appearance before the commissioner early this morning, announced State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy.

Corporal Newcomer was charged by Maryland State Police with attempted second degree rape, three counts of second degree assault, false imprisonment and fourth degree sex offense for an incident that occurred on July 30, 2020.

Newcomer is scheduled to have a bond review August 4, 2020 at 1:15 p.m.
