The Guns & Drugs Unit serves the residents of Prince George’s County by promoting the fair and equitable administration of justice for all people.  Our mission is to protect public safety and prevent gun and drug death by investigating and prosecuting high-level gun offenders, drug trafficking organizations, and by responding to community complaints about persistent drug activity and associated violence.

 

Our Back on Track Program is a diversion program geared towards first-time gun offenders and first-time drug traffickers. The Back on Track Program provides a viable alternative to incarceration and is an essential component of our strategy to reduce incarceration and save lives.
